Dear Pastors, Friends, & Family,
We finally received the papers from the U.S. government so that we could officially apply for our visas at the Spanish Consulate down in Miami, Florida. So a couple weeks ago we headed down there with all the paperwork they asked for. They accepted it, and told us that it would take about four weeks to complete the approval process. Two days ago, I received an email from them requesting more paperwork; I’m not sure if that is figured in to the four weeks or if that will delay it a little longer. Either way, it is exciting that they are looking at it! We are hoping to get them back soon so that we can go ahead and buy our tickets. I was communicating with Joaquin Lopez, who is the pastor of our sponsor church in Spain. He said, “Spain is more tight with immigration laws than years ago. Now, it is time to pray and let the Lord guide us in every detail. Do not get discouraged!” So that’s our plan – pray and wait. We ask you to specifically pray for our visas to be approved quickly.
We are excited about Christmas coming up! Obviously, we celebrate our Savior’s birth at this time of the year, and it would be difficult to express what all that means to us. It will also be great to be around family and be a part of our church’s Christmas cantata. But to be honest, I’m very excited about the presents this year. I cannot wait for Nick and Sam to open their gifts. The last two years we’ve been on the road and have not had room for anything extra; they are very excited to not “get only money.” We trust that you all are excited as well and hope that you, your families, and your churches have a great Christmas.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
Markie Bullock
