March 2016
Dear Pastors, Friends, & Family,
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays as much us we did; we even had a white Christmas! My brother, Doug, is a youth pastor in Fort Collins, Colorado, and he called and asked us to come spend Christmas with them. We did not have a meeting the Sunday after Christmas; so we were able to go spend to Christmas in Colorado, where it actually snowed on Christmas day. While we were there, I was able to spend some good quality time with Doug and his family and preach in their Spanish church. Our trip back to Arizona was also rather exciting. We rented a car because we did not want to drive our motorhome in the snow. On the way back to Arizona, where we left our RV, we stayed the night in a hotel in Albuquerque, NM. When I went out to the car the next morning I realized that some things were missing. After further investigation, I found out that a lot of things were missing. Someone had stolen all of my boys Christmas gifts, the electronics they travel with, and two suitcases full of clothes (mine and the boys’). We told our families about it and no one else. However, within a few days New Life Baptist Church in Casa Grande, AZ and Amado Baptist Church in Amado, AZ contacted me about how they could help. Within another week or two Pastor Ferris in Silver City, NM contacted me as well. God is very good to us! I want to brag on my boys as well; they had all of their Christmas gifts, electronics, and most of their clothes stolen, and not once did they complain or worry. In fact, my oldest son said, “We know God will take care of it.”!
Over the last few months we have been in meetings mostly in Arizona and New Mexico, but we did have one meeting in southern Utah and one in California. We have had several great meetings and have really enjoyed the conferences we were able to be in! I love it when people love on my family. One pastor found out that my boys and I love basketball; so he set up a meeting with a former NBA player, Tim Thomas. Bro. Thomas accepted Christ as his Savior about a year ago in the church there and now volunteers his time to coach the Christian school basketball team. He came and spent almost an hour just hanging out with us and signing a few things for Nick and Sam. That same pastor bought us tickets and parking to the Lakers game in Los Angeles and then rented us a car to be able to go.
I also want to give you a quick update; our support level coming in is currently at 14%, and we estimate close to 25% verbally committed. We are currently on our way from Canoga Park, California to Albany, Georgia, and we will be in the south over the next few months. Please pray for us as we travel, and pray that God will continue to allow me to book meetings for this summer.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
Markie Bullock
