Dear Pastors, Friends, & Family,
I am actually writing this letter from California. I had a church want to fly me in for their missions conference and then possibly come to Spain for a missions trip. I am only in the States for a few days as the conference starts this Wednesday, and then I fly back home on Monday. Please pray for Christy and the boys this week. I left them in Spain, and Christy was a little nervous about being there without me. It is a very safe place, but it is all still very new. Also, continue to pray for Nick and Sam as they try to pick up Spanish. We take them to the park a lot so that they can play with other kids, and we put them in a basketball league hoping it would help their Spanish. Now we are looking into maybe getting them a Spanish tutor for the summer.
Just before I came to the U.S. I went in to try to find out the next step in the process of getting the church started. They said that the next step would be to try to find a few different options for buildings for the church, and they would let me know if the zoning for any of those buildings works for a church. We have been trying to save the money to get into the building so I think by the middle of June we should be able to afford that. We have been looking at a lot of buildings already. When I get back to Spain my main focus will be narrowing down the options and start that process of getting a meeting location. Once that happens, we will have to do some remodeling to turn it into a church. Pray that God will make it clear which building He has for our church.
I was able to get the church’s website up and running. Obviously, we do not have an address on there yet, but we have been passing out tracts with the church name and website on it. So I wanted to make sure to have as much information available as possible. It is in Spanish, but if you are interested in looking at it, the website is iglesiadepalma.com.
